Shared-interest gatherings

Places worth meeting.

Small events take the pressure off the interview and let people notice character through humor, teamwork, curiosity, and participation.

🏐

Casual sport

Low-stakes volleyball, bocce, games, and active gatherings that welcome real bodies and real levels of ability.

🎲

Games & laughter

Trivia, strategy games, collaborative challenges, and evenings where wit matters more than polish.

🍽️

Tables around the world

International dining with optional stories, cultural notes, or food traditions shared around the table.

🔭

Science & wonder

Astronomy, citizen science, natural-history lectures, museums, and conversations for curious minds.

📚

Stories & civic life

No-homework book gatherings, storytelling, local history, preservation, and neighborhood projects.

Small by design.

Most gatherings are intended for roughly eight participants. If interest is high, the same event may be offered more than once so that the atmosphere remains personal and safe.

Members may suggest ideas or help present an activity, while Counterpart remains the principal organizer.

A gathering is not a speed date.

There is no forced pairing, public ranking, or expectation that every event will produce a match. The point is to create environments where thoughtful people can become visible to one another.
